On 20th September 2012, Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project obtained VCS Validation. Said validation, which was carried out by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) gives the maximum guarantee in carbon accounting within the voluntary markets.
VCS Verification
On xxxxx, Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project obtained VCS Verification. Through this verification, 2 million VCUs (Verified Carbon Units) from the 2009 - 2010 vintages, were issued and registered.
CCB Validation
On 2nd December 2009, Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project obtained CCB Validation - Gold Level. Said validation, which was carried out by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) guarantees the exceptional social and environmental co-benefits of the project.
Markit Registration
Madre de Dios Amazon REDD Project has been registered on the Markit Environmental Registry, on 3rd May 2010. This VCS Registry offers the maximum transparency to buyers and sellers in VCUs transactions within the voluntary carbon markets.
